Service Description: This dataset is intended to provide mapping and visual representation of data related to Tier II high quality stream segments within the State of Maryland. Designation is required to fulfill of the Code of Maryland Regulation 26.08.02.04-1. This dataset will assist State, Local, and Federal officials and stakeholders in the decision-making process. This dataset can be used as a reference during the permit review process, outreach activities, environmental screening, or other planning initiatives such as restoration and preservation activities. This dataset contains Tier II baseline stations (points), some with monitoring station photos, and some without. This data set also contains a Healthy Watersheds Vulnerabilty assessment (polygon), and other Tier II monitoring data (points), including current and future MDE monitoring locations, and data used in previous TIer II status assessments.
